Sir Keir Starmer said Suella Braverman was “doing the complete opposite” of the proper role of a home secretary and she was “out of control”.

Asked if he backed a Lib Dem call for her to be sacked, the Labour leader claimed Rishi Sunak was “too weak to do anything about it”.

Downing Street has confirmed that Mrs Braverman did not make their requested edits to her newspaper article about a protest march planned on Saturday, which is also Armistice Day, calling for a Middle East ceasefire.
