The shadow chancellor has said it would have been “perfectly reasonable” for Gary Lineker to remain in his presenting role for Match of the Day.

Talking to Laura Kuenssberg, Rachel Reeves added that Conservative MPs were spending longer talking about the football presenter than what she called important issues.
